Very sadly, Bob Burlason passed away December, 2003.

Bob uses fine tooth band saw.

Clamp holds homemade jig or guide in place.
It is set for 1/4" thick slice. Jig can be adjusted to preference.
Slicing butternut or white walnut.

Push gently with pliers and slight hand pressure.

(Kaye's note: I do not stay in the garage when he is doing this because it looks dangerous to me. I do not want to distract him. The nuts are very hard and will break or kick out. Use extreme caution. )

They are lined with a gripping material (found at a yard sale), probably for opening jar lids.
Channel Lock or Water Pump Pliers could also be used
