Pamela Zimmerman to Toni Best

Pamela Zimmerman to Toni Best "The bottom is Judith Olney's Basket from Africa. I took the class at NCBA last year and shocked everyone by making something that looked like a squashed paper bag. What fun!! The spokes are wisteria, and it is twined with yucca cord. I spun the yucca on a Navajo spindle, which didn't really work all that well. Then I re-twisted it into cord. The first bit, in the bottom, is all hand twisted. Then it is lashed with raffia and coiled with pine needles and sinew."
